Post model-release depression
Or PMRD is a new area of study in people. This affliction usually affects Coders, but there are signs it is growing in other people as well.
When a new model drops, there is a ton of excitement. This excitement has been described by one coder as “Elatory” which isn’t even a word.
We think he meant: “Elation” or “Elated” upon a new product release.
This has been studied before. The spike in endorphins and dopamine when new Yeezys drop is so significant, people wait in line for hours.
What follows is of course a drop in excitement once people get used to the new models behavior.
More than likely, as the days wear on, the “User” becomes so accustomed to the insanely great new capabilities, they begin to notice its constraints... and inadequacies.
Like a new love that blossoms, but quickly gets boring, coders are effervescent creatures at best. Always on the hunt for a new tool to get ahead of the pack. Soon all the Dawgs discover it, and the hunt continues...
