Even distribution is NOT a thing.
An apple tree is in the middle of a field.
Apples drop randomly around the tree.
What is the distribution of where they fall on a Graph?
Is it even distribution? Each point spread apart from a different point. Each area having the same average number of apples as another area?
No!
But why?
It’s because the entire universe around the tree is not evenly distributed.
From the nutrients in the soil, to the geometry of the seed at inception. Everything is not evenly distributed.
The actual distribution follows something similar to a bell curve.
And this leads us to Exceptionalism in the Economy.
Production from Individuals is not even.
Income therefore by the Individuals is not even.
The entities in the economy, (corporations, businesses, people) all produce unevenly.
Even the locations of the businesses range from good to bad.
Their brands are known from well to none at all.
The problem is that in the modern world, everyone is trying to succeed in an unevenly distributed economy.
They are trying to gain global status, global brand, when it is nigh on impossible to do so.
They are trying to compete in arenas that are global, and gain from that space, when only the top tier individuals and entities gain anything.
The Fruits of those industries or better yet “spaces” only go to the top 1-5%.
So in an uneven distributive world.
What are we to do?
Gaining “global status” inside the “Space” of competition, be it your new “Homemade Greek food restaurant”, there are only two options.
To gain top 5 in a Global Space, or gain “Global Status” again, only being the top 1-5% of ALL SPACES actually make anything. Look at Spotify, Music in general, movies, actors, …. again and again…
OR
To gain top 5 in the Localized Status. This could be: “In the Kitsilano neighborhood, I am the number 1 Plumber”
Why is this uneven distribution present? Again it is present. That is without a doubt.
But only the top 5 or so in all Localized and Globalized Spaces seem to gain anything.
This is actually true even in relationships. In every “Space”.
It is a fundamental fabric of life on Earth.
So you see Entities (living organisms even), go to ever more Niche “spaces” to gain Localized Status (top 1-5). You might see an organism somehow surviving at the most brutal, pressurized reaches of the Ocean.
So again.
We must first 1) find a Space 1a) find a Space that we can “Excel” at. 2) gain a foothold in the top 1-5 of that Space 3) reap the “rewards” of that position in the Space
