Double Taxation
the Party
A night out can tax both money and next-day production, unless the right kind of party restores more energy than it consumes.
Some things are positive reinforcers → I eat good, I perform well, work longer, and sleep better, and therefore work better.
Some things are negative reinforcers → I partied last night, and now I’m tired so I can’t work.
So I lose money from lost production.
I lost money last night because I overspent on the party.
Therefore, it is a double tax to party.
Sometimes though, if done well, you can feel rejuvinated and invogorated from a Good night with Pals, and it is then the opposite effect. How you party dictates many things in your life.
Choose wisely.
