I have a pair of jeans. Remember what I said about prayer?
There are two ways to pray.
The first is to say: “Mashallah” in muslim countries.
In non-muslim countries, simply appreciate the creations of God.
Now my Jeans, the ones I bought literally 6 years ago. That are somehow still wearable. Now that is something to appreciate. You see when you appreciate something, even if you don’t have it, you are not expressing longing, which is a lack, and therefore produces suffering. No an appreciation of its very existence. That is a prayer! It fills you with joy.
One day I was in Iceland, and didn’t want to pay 800$ a night for a hotel. So I found a cheap hostel, it probably still cost like 120$ or something. On top of a plaza outside of the city. I was driving a manual car, just learned 4 days ago how to drive stick when I arrived and they had no other cars available.
In the morning I awoke, and i noticed my jeans werent next to my bed.
I was furious. Someone stole my pants! I walked around, kept walking hostel room to hostel room. How am I gonna find this thing I thought? I remembered the day I swam to the bottom of a lake to get my fishing rod. Shayan arman does not lose anything.
I kept looking in the halls, and I became sad. Then I became even more angry. Transfixed. I will find those pants.
So I go bed to bed now. I look inside. Some people were literally sleeping. Finally I find this one bed…
It was FILLED with clothes. I saw inside and I instantly thought, this guy has my pants. So I start rummaging in the pile while he’s sleeping. I pull out my pants.
DUDE. WTF. IM NAKED!
WHY?
Anyways that’s how I got my favourite pants back. I wore them for something like 8 years. Just the other week I finally threw them out. NOBODY. And I say NOBODY. Steals Shayan Arman’s pants.
