Meek

Tim Ferriss and I are a lot more alike than you think. We've both traveled the world. We both like to write. And we both test against the grain, non-commonly-accepted ideas.

I was in Greece partying on Mykonos. When one night I wanted to test something. You see for years, certain people... i won't say who or what thought patterns they expouse upon the world (sorry to say this truly, but if you read the whole article you will understand what I mean) say when one travels abroad, you should tell people you're Canadian. That way, you are considered "nice" and will be treated better.

You see this isn't a simple 'be canadian thought...' no it is far far deeper. It is a world view. It is an understanding of Humanity. That kindness prevails. And one should show oneself to be humble, and meek, to get preferential treatment in life.

Oh boy here we go. So i'm partying and walking around and chatting with people. When it dawns on me. I've been all over the world. I know many cities with pinpoint accuracy. So I thought why don't I go totally AGAINST the common knowledge. And instead of pretending to be some meek version of a sun-hating-computer-loving-oatmeal-eating-thin-arms-no-personality-agreeable-meek you get the idea... Tonight for one night only. I will be a Man from a tiny rich town in Southern California Orange County.

3 hours later I was invited onto a rooftop villa with 2 strikingly beautiful australians.
