Karma

in the Western World is seen in many interesting ways.

One of which is: “I give an Apple to a homeless man, and one day, if I am in need of an Apple, it will be returned!”

Can you imagine if that actually was real?

I’d be giving away Ferraris every day.

The Buddha teaches us first and foremost to ‘see’ with our own eyes. To perceive, and therefore understand.

Karma is not so material.

Another Karmic law in Western Culture is “What goes around comes around.” Meaning again, in different terms but similar vain as before, what you do comes back to you. I hurt you, then someone will hurt me.

Again I disagree with the terminology that we use in our society relating to Karma. Does that mean if I steal from you, that one day you will steal from me? This doesn’t make full sense, because what if you never find out? Let’s say I take some coins out of your drawer that you never even knew you had? And you never, ever find out. Therefore, the Karmic law doesn’t work.

From my experience, a better description of Karma is Creationism. Creationists in general focus on the early creation of the Universe (more on that later). What I want to focus on here is Step Theory. Meaning that there is more to the Creation of the Universe than the first instantaneous moment. What it means is that the Universe is still being created. It is in a constant act of Creation.

Step-Creation Theory focuses not on the first big event. But on the many events after the first one. It means that we are in fact currently still creating the universe.

And Karma, is the actual act of Step-Creation.

We are creating each next moment, in this moment. Like a tree sprouting new branches, or a brain creating new Neural Connections. By stealing, we are in fact “creating” theft. And introducing that into the Universe. Even a thought, is enough to ‘create’ a concept into the Universe. Karma is not “I give you a Gold Coin, and one day in the Future I will receive it back.” No Karma is instantaneous.

Creation occurs in the moment. Introducing something into the Universe has instantaneous results. Karmic, Universal repercussions.

Or as Jesus said it far better in far less words: “Pray as though It Is, and It shall Be.”
