Sam Altman
This is part 2 on purpose. and Knowing your Purpose and Direction.
I'll never forget the first time Sam Altman showed us around YCombinator. Man I was STOKED. I told my friend Paul this is the absolute, greatest thing that ever happened to us.Firstly. That's ridiculous. A short skinny dude showing you around a half empty building is not my idea of fun now.Partying it up in Mykonos with a few friends, driving around the island at night, meeting random people, jumping in the ocean, living it up until Sunrise.THATS FUN.But back then I was a lame nerd who literally thought that was fun.And it was kinda fun. He was nice to us. To the kids he was mentoring he absolutely destroyed them."Your not confident. Your the least confident guy in this batch. Seriously."Bro I ate that shit up!This guy is a genius I thought.Later on I remember reading something he wrote..."You should be able to walk up to anybody at a startup and ask them, in 3 sentences, what is the company trying to accomplish?"and they should all KNOW. Brother I will tell you something. You can walk up to random people on the street and ask them the same thing. Top 3, 3, what are you trying to accomplish? What are your goals? Man they won't know.Or even "What is your biggest problem right now?"Man they might say they're hungry.Sam Altman was enlightened then.We are simply seeing the product of the genius that was already there. The man was a King without a Kingdom.Get to Inbox Zero with Zero Inbox at
