The Depth of your Education
The depth of the Propoganda,
and ‘learning’ is so powerful, so deep into our psyche, that many of us still believe in Consumerism.
We’ve been taught to remove God from our lives - or even to deny Him.
But can we be blamed for our Slumber? When we are completely surrounded by Materialism, most of us living in cities. And our bodies fully ‘addicted’ to the endless drugs we are fed?
When our entire social circles are asleep and fully consumed, we’re meant to step out and realize the real meaning of our lives?

I of course do not espouse leaving consumerism and becoming a God loving Monk - in no way at all. But at least having a spirit of questioning, and appreciating our lives. That there could be a deeper meaning, or purpose - other than buying, consuming, and comparing at dinner parties.
Once we get past 25, the ‘teaching’ is so absolutely ingrained, that conversations with adults become increasingly tedious in the Western World. “Congrats on the promotion”, “on the new car”, “on that vacation”. If we even get to the point of conversation, where our connection is now reduced to ‘Sean loved your post’. If this isn’t a reduction, then what is it?
Consumerism is an addiction, one that goes beyond human Nature. Sure, we are status animals. Of course. But we are also social, meant to connect to deepen the strength of the tribe. In between flexing, there is quiet moments. And to reduce that to a like, or comment?
I’ll never forget when a wise man told me ‘Bill Gates quit, learning there’s more to life’. I was aghast. There’s more to life? It takes a serious philosopher to tell you something: “Money has absolutely no intrinsic value”. Actual paid economists have had to describe this. That money is simply a related step to intrinsic value, not the value itself. Inflation of course is when the money supply outgrows value. The rate in which they deviate, is the inflation rate.
Go hug a tree I don’t know.
