The Diplomat

I met an American Diplomat last night at an irish bar

He was hiding it at first

“Im from ottawa” he said

I looked at him.

Shook his hand.

And i said

“Youre american”

He was shocked.

“What gave it away” he asked me.

Oh ive traveled the world 15 times over.

I can tell the difference between hundreds of accents.

“ i lived in the states too” i said.

Then i asked him “you like trump?”

“I cant answer that” he said shifting uneasilly

“Sorry bro i just saw him grab a bee online i thought it was funny”

“In my personal life… i have views” he said calmly

“Bro i dont judge.” I said laughing “btw ive always wondered man. Do diplomats get special passports!?”

“Yes.”

What a serious dude i thought. We talked more about skiing.

Then i went and talked with some irish people and left.

How cool i thought. I met a diplomat.
