The End of Labour

So tonight i shared a post from the wsj where it showed 9-5ers arent getting promotions.

Looking at this from a serious viewpoint, we have to break down the culture in which this stems from.

We live in the Western World, including Japan and Korea having a job, a salaried job, is seen as the norm.

Beyond this, in many cultures it is a goal, and a high status ticket to have a salaried job.

Apart from my own biased opinion against such a way of life, for many people on this earth the 9-5 is actually seen as a highly positive thing.

The reason being the constant steady pay, leads to a sense of stability, and that stability is good for many reasons. Starting families. But from a pure financial analysis, creditors begin to view you as credit worthy. This credit worthiness leads to financial analysis on your income, and thereafter mortgages and vehicles which are incredible for the economy as a whole.

You see all these benefits lead to the idea pushed by governments and institutions alike - and your wives. Wives absolutely LOVE 9-5ers.

It gets the men out of the house. They can brag about it to the gals. And the guy has something to do and feels confident in himself. He brings home the bacon, pays for the house, and enables their life and partnership to continue - despite his servitude.

Now the interesting point is that most income is either generated from labour or from capital. For most, a big chunk of their net worth gets tied to their homes. So the main geenrator of income is therefore their job.

Were talking the vast majority of the cash flow is brought in from these 9-5 jobs. Being human, the man wishes to be seen as improving. The toys he buys he gets tired of and they depreciate. Let alone he wants upgrades to the home etc. new homes new gadgets bigger toys.

All of these means a) his main driver of income being his 9-5 job since his money is tied up in the house b) his energy is tied up with the family and the job sucking him dry c) the only possible gain in his cash flow or growth occurs through the concept of a promotion.

In white culture they gush neverendingly about their fake promotions.

They love that.

The reason being mainly the ones above.

It is not so much they want the promotion.

They ***need the promotion.
