What is love?

but a production
Love, anxiety, depression, and happiness are presented as states the mind and body continually produce rather than fixed things a person possesses.

If you press here, and talk like this, and be so gentle, then I will love you.

Produced states vs

Love is a production

A tumour exists

Depression is not a thing

Because it is a continual state of being - it is a production

So when people say i am anxious

They mean i am producing anxiety

A tumour is something you have

A severed limb is something you have

Other states are produced and continual only so far as we continue to produce them

The belief system schema in your mind is something we hold on to

Which in turn is the thing that is producing the states of being

If you were to stop mental processes - the patient dies

A tumour would still exist

But your depression would not

Where is it in the body? Where is happiness?

It is also a production. So then the question should be what does it take to create happiness?

The idea that someone is a happy person is ridiculous. If his cat dies in front of him, what man isn’t sad?

The causes of the production of happiness in the body are multifold.

A lack of production of pain helps. A full belly helps. And security and safety help. These things aid in the production of happiness. The nervous system can produce happiness.

Why is it that we must have safety to produce happiness? Because the Brain is a state machine. And two states seldom cannot be occurring at the same time. Priority is given to one produced state over another. If you’re getting chased by a robber, the brain chooses fear or aggression. Not relaxed let’s coombaya. It is exlusivity (happy but not sad, scared but not loving), plus hierarchical states (fear trumps happy), (love trumps fear).

Or better put. Each moment dictates a response. A state to represent the moment. And the moment is exclusive in that one state is chosen at any given time.

Is the brain capable of such exclusivity in states. Why yes. It’s noise cancelling ability is absolute unparalleled. Think “the cat went to his right and found a dog and mistook it for a mouse” that voice was singular and exclusive. No other words were played in your mind at the point of thought.

Exclusivity seems to be the key to the universe and the mind. No two particles can occupy the same space. And no two thoughts may be had at the same moment. One will win out based on the strength of the signal.
