Where is God's place?

If the state dispenses justice

Both to punish actions against others

For the survival of its people

And against the state

For the survival of the state

Then who dispenses judgement

Against those in power

In which they have no one above them

And their actions are left un-checked?

There then lies a place for a God

If a man gains power

Over others

And dispenses his power through edicts

By what right should he have this?

If he is just a man, but stands above others?

He cannot be equal in every way

For if he was, why grant him unequal ability?

Unless he was ordained

There then lies a place for a God

Now what if we commit a crime

And no-one ever finds out?

In the history if man

For sure theres been crimes un-found

And unpunished

Who will ever punish such a man

For a crime committed Yet not seen

There in lies a place for a God

And if a man finds that the Universe has rules

That we operate in them

And that fairness is a by-gone figment

Only found in the mind

Where should he find refuge?

There in lies a place for a God

And if we need a standard bearer

To guide us in Truth

If we find that life is better lived in Honesty

But our surrounding is filled with fake idols

And those that gained only through deceit

But we wish to be Better

For we realize to be Good is Good

Who could possibly be our Guide

When all others are flawed?

There in lies a place for God

Now what if this God that judges

And gives judgements so harsh,

Equating to the wrongness of our crimes

And grants ever lasting happiness

Magnitudes greater than our actions

With this great power

He would have our Respect and adoration

Now what if this God wasn’t even real?

What if the Judgements we receive are the laws of the Universe

That our Actions have consequences

Even if not-found

Then where is the place for God?

My thought on this issue is thus:

If the judgements of the Universe

That usurp those of our laws stand above them

Wherein our laws simply attempt to reflect them

Albeit poorly

Are simply encoded in the Universe

And our own bodily reaction to the Good

Is a natural law

And the Bad

Also a reaction

And these rules figured out by Sages

And Prophets

Encoded in books as edicts or Guides

Associated to a God

But are merely Universal Codes

You see if these Judgements are rules

And responses of the Universe

Higher order functions of elaborate concepts like Good and Bad

Where Newton found laws of Mechanics

Then Prophets found Higher Order Laws or Concepts such as Love and Evil

Who encoded these laws?

If the Universe has a Creator God,

Then even if these rules arent “dispensed” individually upon each action or tallied

But simply are automated reactions to actions

Then was it not God who wrote them? So then we are judged

But what if there is no Creator

And these rules were always present

In an eternal Universe

You push on this block it falls

And you commit a crime you feel it

Then there is still a Judge

And a Power above us

Whatever way you look at it.

There in lies a place for a God

Not just a Creator of the Universe

But Laws that we interact with every Day

One interesting one I found recently:

Are bodies react instantly to what we do, what we think, our environment

Just look at the Neck of a Programmer

The Eyes of an iPad kid

And the belly of a Beer drinker

Or The heart of someone loved
